With Donald Trump returning to the White House in 2025, the United States has reinvigorated its “America First” agenda through tariffs, export controls, investment screening, and industrial policy measures. Combined with intensifying U.S.-China strategic competition, these developments are accelerating the restructuring of global trade and supply chains. As geopolitical considerations increasingly outweigh traditional efficiency-driven approaches, governments and businesses worldwide are adapting their strategies to navigate a more fragmented and uncertain global economic environment.

Meanwhile, the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the global technology landscape and emerging as a critical driver of economic competitiveness. Strategic industries such as semiconductors and connected & electric vehicles are increasingly influenced by U.S. technology policies and broader geopolitical rivalries. In response, many Asian economies are accelerating the implementation of national AI strategies and policy frameworks to enhance technological capabilities, strengthen economic security, and reinforce supply chain resilience.

Against this evolving landscape, the conference will explore how recent shifts in U.S. economic, trade, and technology policies are reshaping global supply chains and influencing AI policy and strategic development across Asia. 近年來，美中貿易戰、COVID-19疫情及地緣政治風險升高，持續衝擊全球供應鏈與國際貿易秩序，全球產業布局亦由過去追求成本效率，逐漸轉向強調供應鏈韌性與經濟安全。隨著2025年美國川普總統重返白宮(Trump 2.0)，美國再度強化「美國優先」(America First)政策主軸，透過高關稅、出口管制、投資審查及產業補貼等政策工具，推動製造業回流與供應鏈調整，進一步加速全球供應鏈朝向區域化、陣營化與碎片化發展。地緣政治亦逐漸取代市場效率，成為影響全球供應鏈布局與企業投資決策的重要因素。

此外，在人工智慧(AI)快速發展下，AI技術與相關產業已成為全球科技與經濟競爭核心，包括半導體、車聯網等關鍵領域，皆受到美國科技政策與美中競爭之深刻影響。各國尤其是亞洲國家，亦積極推動AI產業政策與國家戰略，以強化科技自主能力與供應鏈韌性。
